A classroom, a meal and a safe bed for the children of Kubbi village.

We are a small Christian ministry in north-western Uganda. We care for orphans and vulnerable children with school, meals, medical care and guidance, and we are finishing a dormitory so they have a safe place to sleep.

Registered community based organisation with Nebbi District Local Government and Erussi Sub-County, renewed in September 2025.

Who we are

Jesus Christ Is The Lord Orphan's Care Ministries is a community based organisation in Kubbi village, in Nebbi District. We care for children who have lost one or both parents, and for other children whose families cannot meet their needs.

Children come to us for school, a daily meal, clothing, medical care and a safe, loving place to grow, and to hear of Christ's love. Our nursery school brought nursery education to an area where it had been lacking.

The work is paid for by friends and donors, including donors in the United States, and by what our fish pond and farm produce.

Why native mangoes

The grafted mango trees we planted before have not fruited as we hoped. The native mangoes that grow naturally around us do very well, so we plan to plant 5,000 to 10,000 of them on our farm: food and income for years to come.

Who vouches for us

Local leaders who know our work, in their own words.

The organisation has a positive influence on the community and has been cooperating very well with the local authority as far as supervision is concerned.

Chairman of the Kubbi Village Council (LC I), 2016

Highly recommended for improved community welfare.

Chairman of Erussi Sub-County (LC III), 2016

…without doubt, we are recommending the organization to you for possible support.
